My New Baby

One month after moving out I had already made up my mind I was getting a dog. I didn’t put much thought into getting a pup from a breeder, I figured the best bet for me would be to look through the local human societies, and find a good match for me there.

I started searching pretty much every day, as if strays are caught that often, and dogs are being adandoned left and right haha. I was just so pumped to find a pooch.

A client of mine failed to show up for an appointment and I was left with some time to kill before the next one. I started searching some local breeders and wound up looking at the breeders of Douge de Bordeaux’s. If you’ve ever seen Turner and Hooch, that’s the dog, that big scarey slobbering mess haha.

I e-mailed all the breeders asking about their puppies. After several let downs, I got an e-mail that got me right excited. They had held back 2 females, deciding which would be shipped over to Europe to being a new breeding line. The girl staying back would be a 7 month old needing a permanant home. I was fucken ALL OVER IT!

I showed up at Country Road Kennels after work. Scared shitless as I was greeted at the gate by 3 massive beasts, all barking and foaming at the mouth. However all they wanted to do was kiss me and get some belly rubs haha.

Speaking with Jenn the owner and operater of the place got me stoked about everything. I got to meet some awesome dogs, and see how the place was run. Then finally, I got to meet Baby Girl.

Most kickass dog ever! I’m in love with this little chick haha. She’s so cheeky and hilarious, girl’s got wicked personality! We are gonna have some damn fun together, that’s for sure. I can’t wait till she’s full grown (an estimated 115lbs) and we can workout together :D haha Hill sprints, sled drags, woooo!

If you like the pictures, check out more info on her breed.
