“The Burpee”

Me and my creativity! I got all excited about making up another workout. I call it “the burpee“. Basically I broke the burpee into it’s 5 parts, make you do each part separately 50 times, then add them back in together and do 50 full burpees. So it looks like this:

50 Squats

50 Squat Thrusts

50 Push Ups

50 Squat Thrusts

50 Jumping Squats

50 Burpees

I had fun yelling at the 7am and 9am classes while they toughed it out. Then continued to encourage the 5:15pm class through it as well. Just as everybody finished it off in the 5:15 class, I decided to blast it out as fast as I could.

Holy fuck, quite a bit harder than I had thought actually. I was hoping to break 10 minutes. I started off great, not really having to take much of anything for breaks up until the second 50 squat thrusts. By that point they were making me feel like puking – horrible, haven’t felt like that in quite some time! Then the 50 burpees. What a jackass I truly am! Man they were horrible, did 10s for a bit, then down to 5s. Son of a bitch it was awful.

Finished in 13:50. Well over my hopes, but oh well, still not too bad. And gave me more to work on, gotta up that muscular endurance for sure. Woooooo, thank god that one is behind me!
